As the Creative Director on the Kausheya Silks branding project, I had the pleasure of leading a talented team to create a brand identity that truly embodied the brand's values and showcased its commitment to traditional craftsmanship.
Kausheya Silks, a London-based company, stands out for its dedication to preserving age-old silk weaving practices from India while supporting local craftsmen. The brand offers a range of exquisitely crafted products, including scarves, shawls, and accessories, all woven with impeccable attention to detail.
Our objective for this project was to develop a brand identity and print collateral that would capture the essence of Kausheya Silks' unique blend of traditional techniques and modern sensibilities. We began by conducting thorough research on the silk-weaving process and the rich history of craftsmanship in India. This helped us better understand the brand's values and inspired us to create a design that would resonate with their target audience.
We opted for a design that emphasized the handcrafted nature of the products, incorporating elements that evoked the smooth, luxurious texture of silk.
